Shane West Biography
Shane West, born Shannon Bruce Snaith on June 10, 1978, is an American actor, singer, and songwriter. He gained recognition for his role as Eli Sammler in the ABC family drama Once and Again. West is also known for his performances as Landon Carter in A Walk to Remember, Dr. Ray Barnett in ER, and Michael Bishop in Nikita. He received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Darby Crash in the biopic What We Do Is Secret. Aside from acting, West has been involved in music, performing with punk rock bands such as the Germs, Jonny Was, and the Twilight Creeps. Born in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, West comes from a family of musicians, with both his parents having their own punk bands.
