Shannon Murray

Shannon Murray (born 1976) is an Irish-born actress, writer, media lawyer, and consultant. She gained recognition by winning the first-ever search for a disabled model and became the first disabled model to feature in a high-profile advertising campaign for the British store Debenhams. Murray has appeared in various dramas for the BBC and Channel 4, including popular shows like Holby City, Casualty, and the Doctor Who spinoff series Class. She also had a notable role in the BBC soap opera EastEnders. In addition to her acting career, Murray is the daughter of Frank Murray, who managed The Pogues and Thin Lizzy. She is a paraplegic and has used a wheelchair since a diving accident at the age of 14.
