Shari Lynn Belafonte (born September 22, 1954) is an American actress, model, and singer. She began her career as a fashion model before making her big-screen debut in the 1982 drama film 'If You Could See What I Hear.' Belafonte gained recognition for her role as Julie Gillette in the ABC drama series 'Hotel' from 1983 to 1988. She also starred in the Canadian science fiction series 'Beyond Reality' from 1991 to 1993. Apart from her acting career, Belafonte has released two studio albums in the 1980s and has performed on stage. She is the daughter of the late singer and actor Harry Belafonte and Marguerite Byrd.
