Sharon LaFraniere
Sharon Veronica LaFraniere is an American journalist, best known for her work at The New York Times. Born on June 15, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, LaFraniere had a diverse range of work experiences before pursuing journalism. She graduated from The Roeper School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan, with an academic scholarship. LaFraniere earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in comparative literature from Brown University, graduating magna cum laude and with honors. She later obtained a Master of Science degree in journalism from Northwestern University. Currently, she serves as an investigative reporter in the Washington bureau of The New York Times, where she continues to make significant contributions to the field of journalism.
