Sharon Rooney

Sharon Rooney is a Scottish actress known for her roles in various TV shows and movies. Born in Glasgow, she left school at 16 to pursue acting and studied performing arts followed by a drama degree at Hull University. Rooney started her career in stand-up comedy and later landed her first television role as Rae Earl in the E4 series My Mad Fat Diary. Her performance earned her a BAFTA nomination and was praised for being natural and believable. Rooney has also appeared in shows like Two Doors Down, Brief Encounters, and the 2019 remake of Dumbo.
