Shaun Johnston is a Canadian actor known for his role as Jack Bartlett on the CBC drama Heartland, which premiered in 2007. He co-founded the Shadow Theatre in Edmonton and began his acting career in Alberta's theatre scene. Born in Ponoka, Alberta, Johnston obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Alberta's drama program. He has portrayed the character of Jack Bartlett, also known as 'Grandpa Jack,' for 13 seasons on Heartland. For his performance on the show, Johnston received nominations for a Rosie award for 'Best Alberta Actor' in 2019 and 2020. Johnston has described his time on Heartland as the best job he has ever had and will ever have. In addition to his television work, he is also involved in recording and releasing The Book of Shaun: A Story Behind.'
