Shaun Morgan Welgemoed (born December 21, 1978) is a South African musician. He is best known as the singer, songwriter, and guitarist for the rock band Seether. Morgan grew up in South Africa, where he attended Merchiston Preparatory School and Maritzburg College. He was an accomplished rugby player until a back injury forced him to pursue his passion for music. At the age of fourteen, he discovered the Seattle grunge movement and was inspired to become a musician after listening to Nirvana's Nevermind album. Before Seether, Morgan was a member of a tribute band. He continues to be a prominent figure in the rock music scene.
