Shawn Farquhar

Shawn Farquhar (born June 7, 1962) is a Canadian magician and illusionist. He is recognized as the 'Grand Prix World Champion of Magic' by the International Federation of Magic Societies. Farquhar holds the distinction of being the only magician to have won First Place in both Stage and Sleight of Hand at the International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) competitions. He has been honored twice as the Magician of the Year by the Canadian Association of Magicians and has also won First Place at the Society of American Magicians annual magic convention competition. Farquhar's remarkable achievements include three Silver awards and a First (World Championship) in Card Magic, as well as the Grand Prix World Championship for Close Up at FISM, the 'Olympics of Magic'. He is a two-time recipient of the Canadian Magician of the Year award.
