Shawn Michael Phelan (January 7, 1975 – September 27, 1998) was an American television and film actor. Born in Stoughton, Massachusetts, he moved to Houston, Texas, at the age of seven. Phelan began his acting career at the Unicorn Theatre in Houston at age 9. He appeared in various stage productions before landing his first national television role in an episode of the NBC sitcom Sister Kate in 1989. He went on to have small roles in television series such as The Wonder Years, Family Matters, and Grand. Phelan's first studio film role was in the 1991 drama Toy Soldiers. Unfortunately, at age 19, he was involved in a car accident that left him comatose for over four years. Phelan passed away on September 27, 1998, at the age of 23.
