Shawnee Smith (born July 3, 1969) is an American actress known for her roles in movies and TV shows. She gained recognition for playing Linda in the CBS sitcom Becker and Amanda Young in the Saw franchise. Smith also had a career in music as part of the country rock band, Smith & Pyle. Additionally, she hosted the first season of the VH1 acting competition Scream Queens. Smith started her acting journey at a young age, making her film debut in John Huston's Annie at age 11. In the late 1980s, she appeared in smaller roles before landing starring roles in films like The Blob (1988) and Who's Harry Crumb? (1989). Throughout the 1990s, she made guest appearances on popular shows like Murder, She Wrote and The X-Files. From 1998 to 2004, Smith starred in the sitcom Becker. In 2004, she portrayed Amanda in the horror film Saw, reprising the role in its sequels. Shawnee Smith continues to be a versatile presence in the entertainment industry.
