Sheila Tousey

Sheila May Tousey (born June 4, 1959) is a Native American actress known for her work in stage and film. Born in Keshena, Wisconsin, Tousey is of Menominee and Stockbridge-Munsee descent and was raised on both reservations. She began dancing as a child and later pursued theater arts while attending the University of New Mexico. After graduating, she furthered her acting training at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. Tousey made her film debut in Thunderheart (1992) and also appeared in Medicine River that same year. Throughout her career, she has continued to showcase her talent as both a dancer and actress.
