Sheila Vand

Sheila Vand is an American actress and performance artist. Born in a suburb of Los Angeles and raised in Palo Alto, Vand is a second-generation Iranian-American. She gained recognition for her role in Ben Affleck's 2012 Oscar-winning film Argo. Vand made her Broadway debut in 2011 alongside Robin Williams in the Pulitzer-nominated Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo. She has collaborated with filmmaker Ana Lily Amirpour on multiple projects, including Pashmaloo and A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night. Vand is also known for her ongoing collaboration with TED speaker Alexa Meade, with their photo series MILK: What Will You Make of Me? being exhibited in various locations. Additionally, she is the creator of the experimental performance piece Sneaky Nietzsche.
