Shemar Moore

Shemar Franklin Moore (born April 20, 1970) is an American actor known for his roles in various television shows. He is widely recognized for playing Malcolm Winters on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless from 1994 to 2002, 2004 to 2005, 2014, 2019, and 2023. Moore also portrayed Derek Morgan on the crime drama series Criminal Minds from 2005 to 2016. Currently, he stars as Sergeant II Daniel 'Hondo' Harrelson on the CBS police drama S.W.A.T., a role he has held since 2017. In addition to his acting career, Moore served as the host of Soul Train from 1999 to 2003. He has received multiple awards, including eight NAACP Image Awards and a Daytime Emmy Award.
