Shepard Smith
Shepard Smith is an American broadcast journalist and former anchor. Born on January 14, 1964, in Holly Springs, Mississippi, Smith had a successful 23-year career at the Fox News Channel, where he served as chief anchor and managing editor of the breaking news division. During his time at Fox, he hosted several programs including Fox Report, Studio B, and Shepard Smith Reporting. In late September 2020, Smith launched his daily evening newscast, The News with Shepard Smith, on CNBC. However, the program was canceled in November 2022. Smith studied journalism at the University of Mississippi but left two credits shy of a degree to pursue a reporter job in Panama City.
