Sherie Rene Scott

Sherie Rene Scott (born February 8, 1967) is an American actor, singer, writer, and producer. She is known for her work in both Broadway and off-Broadway plays and musicals, as well as her appearances in film and television. Scott was born in Kentucky and raised in Topeka, Kansas. She moved to New York City at the age of 18 to study at the Neighborhood Playhouse School of the Theatre. On Broadway, Scott has starred in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Aida, and other productions, receiving nominations for Tony, Drama Desk, and Outer Critics Circle Awards. She is a writer in residence at Second Stage Theater and currently resides in New York City with her son.
