Sherman Howard (born June 11, 1949) is an American actor known for his performances in various movies and TV shows. He gained recognition for his portrayal of the zombie Bub in George A. Romero's Day of the Dead (1985) and as Lex Luthor on Superboy (1990–92). Howard also lent his voice to the character Derek Powers (a.k.a. Blight) in Batman Beyond (1999–2001). He started his career at the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco in 1971 and later joined the resident company at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Throughout his career, Howard has played a variety of roles in both theater and film.
