Sheryl Patrice Underwood (born October 28, 1963) is an American comedian, actress, and television host. She gained recognition as the first female finalist in the 1989 Miller Lite Comedy Search. Since September 2011, Underwood has been one of the hosts on the CBS Daytime talk show The Talk, making her the show's longest-running co-host. She has received one Daytime Emmy Award and has been nominated seven times. Underwood was born in Little Rock, Arkansas, and later moved to Atwater, California, where she attended high school. She is known for her work as a caregiver to her sister Frankie and has shared personal experiences about her family, including the tragic loss of her twin and the story her mother told her about her father.
