Shirl Bernheim (September 21, 1921 – March 30, 2009) was an American actress known for her work in film and television. Born as Shirley Raphael in Manhattan, New York City, she made her Broadway debut in 2000 at the age of 79 in The Tale of the Allergist's Wife. Bernheim portrayed the character Frieda, the lead character's mother, during the play's run from October 12, 2000, to May 26, 2002. Her film and television career began in 1978 and lasted until 2004, with appearances including a role as Polly the Prize Lady on The Cheap Show from 1978 to 1979. Shirl Bernheim passed away in Englewood, New Jersey.
