Shobna Gulati Biography
Shobna Gulati is a British actress and presenter born on August 7, 1966, in Oldham, Lancashire. She is best known for her roles as Anita in the sitcom dinnerladies and Sunita Alahan in the soap opera Coronation Street, a role she played from 2001 to 2013. Gulati also appeared as a panellist on the talk show Loose Women from 2013 to 2014. In 2019, she took on the role of Ray in the West End production of Everybody's Talking About Jamie, which she reprised for the movie adaptation. Gulati recently portrayed Mari Hoff in the 2022 UK Tour of The Rise and Fall of Little Voice. She will reprise the role of Ray in the upcoming 2023-2024 UK and Ireland Tour of Everybody's Talking About Jamie. Gulati holds a degree in Arabic and Middle Eastern politics from the University of Manchester.
