Sig Libowitz Biography
Sig Libowitz (born March 1, 1968) is an American lawyer, actor, film executive, writer, producer, and professor. He is currently the director of the Graduate Film and Media program at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. Libowitz gained recognition for his work on the film 'The Response,' which he wrote, produced, and acted in. The film was inspired by the actual transcripts from the Guantanamo detainees' Combatant Status Review Tribunals. Libowitz holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in theatre and politics from New York University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Maryland School of Law. He has previously worked at the law firm Venable LLP and held executive positions at Paramount Pictures, Film4, and Good Machine.
