Simon Cowell

Simon Phillip Cowell (born October 7, 1959) is an English television personality, entrepreneur, and record executive. He gained public recognition in 2001 as a judge on the talent competition show Pop Idol. Cowell went on to create and judge on various successful television shows including The X Factor UK, Britain's Got Talent, American Idol, The X Factor US, and America's Got Talent. In addition to his television work, Cowell is the founder and sole owner of the British entertainment company Syco and the creator of the X Factor and Got Talent franchises. Prior to his television career, Cowell had success as a record producer, talent agent, and consultant in the UK music industry.
