Simon Merrells Biography
Simon Merrells is an English film, television, and stage actor. He gained recognition for his role as Marcus Licinius Crassus in the television series Spartacus: War of the Damned. Merrells was born in London and attended drama school before working as a minicab driver to fund his travels to Mexico. He later became involved in fringe theatre in Brighton. In 2007, he acted alongside his brother Jason in a production of The Comedy of Errors, playing twins. Merrells has collaborated with director Steven Berkoff multiple times, including a world tour of the play Coriolanus and playing Terry Malloy in On the Waterfront in 2009.
