Simon Barnes Shelton (13 January 1966 – 17 January 2018) was an English actor best known for his work in children's television. He portrayed Tinky Winky on Teletubbies from 1997 to 2001, and played Dark Knight on Incredible Games from 1994 to 1995. Born in London on 13 January 1966, Shelton resided in Ampthill, Bedfordshire with his wife Emma Robbins and their three children. He had a niece named Emily Atack who is also an actress. Tragically, Shelton suffered from alcoholism and was found dead at the age of 52 on 17 January 2018 near the Port of Liverpool Building in Liverpool. His cause of death was hypothermia and alcohol intoxication.
