Skip Bolen

Skip Bolen is a Southern photographer known for his captivating images of musicians, architecture, lifestyle, and the vibrant culture of New Orleans. Born in Lafayette, Louisiana, Skip's passion for photography began while working as a designer and art director in New Orleans and New York City. He gained recognition for his stunning portraits of jazz musicians and immersed himself in the city's vibrant jazz scene. In 1998, Skip relocated to Los Angeles, where he served as the art director of House of Blues while continuing to pursue his passion for photography. His work has been exhibited in various galleries and he has a particular focus on capturing the essence of jazz music through his lens.
