Skye McCole Bartusiak (September 28, 1992 – July 19, 2014) was an American child actress and child model. She gained recognition for her roles in The Patriot (2000), Don't Say a Word (2001), and Beyond the Prairie: The True Story of Laura Ingalls Wilder (2002) where she portrayed Rose Wilder. Bartusiak also appeared as Megan Matheson on season 2 of the TV show 24 (2002–03), and in movies such as Boogeyman (2005) and Kill Your Darlings (2006). Born in Houston, Texas, she attended St. Thomas Episcopal Academy and Lutheran South High School before graduating from Laurel Springs High School in Ojai, California in 2010.
