Sondra James Biography
Sondra James (July 21, 1939 – September 12, 2021) was an American sound coordinator and actress. Born Sondra Weil in New York City, she graduated from the Bronx High School of Science in 1955 and pursued a double major in anthropology and archaeology at City College of New York. James made her acting debut in the film Mighty Aphrodite (1995) and went on to have a successful career as a character actor and voice actress in film, television, and stage productions. In addition to her acting work, James founded the loop recording company Speakeasy, which has provided audio for over 500 films and television shows. She also played a role in casting Coen brothers films.
