Sophie Hayden

Sophie Hayden (born February 23, 1954) is an American actress known for her work in both theater and film. Born Sophie Ann Schwab in Miami, Florida, Hayden grew up in North Java, New York, where she attended Attica Central High School. She discovered her passion for performing at a young age and went on to become a world champion baton twirler in 1971. Hayden studied acting at Northwestern University before moving to New York in 1976. She made her Broadway debut in 1979 and went on to appear in several productions, including 'The King of Schnorrers' and 'Barnum.' In 1992, Hayden received critical acclaim for her role as Rosabella in the Broadway revival of 'The Most Happy Fella,' earning a Tony Award nomination and a Drama Desk Award nomination.
