Sophie Raworth
Sophie Jane Raworth (born 15 May 1968) is an English journalist, newsreader, and broadcaster. She is a senior newsreader and one of the main presenters of BBC News, particularly BBC News at Six and BBC News at Ten. Raworth has presented television coverage for state occasions and BBC's Election Night. In 2015, she became the presenter of consumer affairs programme Watchdog, and in 2016, she began presenting Crimewatch, both for BBC One. Raworth was born in Surrey, grew up in Twickenham, and attended Putney High and St Paul's Girls' schools. She completed a degree in French and German at the University of Manchester and studied broadcasting and journalism at City, University of London. Raworth joined the BBC in 1992.
