Sophie Stanton

Sophie Stanton (born 1971) is an English actress, director, and playwright. She gained recognition for her role as DCI Jill Marsden in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, a role she has portrayed since 2001. Stanton was born in London and raised in Suffolk. She first appeared on EastEnders in March 2001 for the storyline 'Who Shot Phil?' and has made several returns to the show over the years. In November 2009, she reprised her role to investigate the murder of Archie Mitchell. Stanton's versatile talent extends beyond acting, as she also works as a director and playwright.
