Sophina Brown Simmons (born September 18, 1976) is an American television actress. She gained recognition for her roles in the CBS legal dramas Shark and Numbers. Brown began her career in theater, touring with the musical Fame and later making her Broadway debut in The Lion King. She then transitioned to television, appearing in guest roles on Law & Order and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Brown's breakthrough came when she was cast as Raina Troy in the CBS series Shark, which ran from 2006 to 2008. She later joined the cast of Numbers, playing the role of Nikki Betancourt from 2008 to 2010. Brown has also made guest appearances on shows like Castle, Brothers & Sisters, and The Good Wife.
