Stanislav Aleksandrovich Belkovsky (born 7 February 1971) is a Russian political analyst and communication specialist. He is the founder and director of the National Strategy Institute. Belkovsky is known for his commentary on various political issues, including Russian oligarchs like Mikhail Khodorkovsky. In 2003, he co-authored a paper called 'State and Oligarchy,' which was seen by many as the ideological justification for Khodorkovsky's arrest and trial. Belkovsky has also made allegations about Vladimir Putin's personal wealth, claiming that Putin controls stakes in companies like Gazprom and Surgutneftegas. He has published these allegations along with his findings about Putin's close friend Gennady Timchenko's oil-trading company Gunvor. Belkovsky is of Russian, Ukrainian, Polish, and Jewish ethnicity.
