Star Jones Biography
Star Jones, born Starlet Marie Jones Lugo on March 24, 1962, is an American lawyer, journalist, television personality, fashion designer, author, and women's and diversity advocate. She gained widespread recognition as one of the original co-hosts on the ABC morning talk show The View, where she appeared for nine seasons from 1997-98 through 2005-06. In addition to her work on The View, Jones was a contestant on the fourth season of The Celebrity Apprentice in 2011, placing fifth. Currently, she is set to become the next arbitrator on the long-running courtroom series Divorce Court, which will mark her return to the court show genre. Previously, she served as the arbitrator on the series Jones & Jury in 1994-95, becoming the first Black person to preside over her own court show and the first woman to preside over arbitration-based reality television.
