Stefan Gierasch Biography
Stefan Gierasch (February 5, 1926 – September 6, 2014) was an American film and television actor. Born in New York, Gierasch studied at The Actors Studio. He made over 100 screen appearances, primarily in American television, starting in 1951. Some of his notable film credits include The Hustler (1961), The Traveling Executioner (1970), Carrie (1976), and Perfect (1985). In 1994, he appeared in the film Junior, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, and in 1995's Murder in the First. Gierasch also had a successful career on television, making numerous appearances. He was married to actress Hedy Sontag for 33 years and had three children: Amanda, Elisa, and Matthew.
