Stephan Kampwirth

Stephan Kampwirth (born March 20, 1967) is a German theatre and screen actor. He graduated from Franz Stock High School in Arnsberg in 1986 and then did his civilian service as an ambulance driver in Munich. Kampwirth trained at the Hamburg drama studio from 1989 until 1992 under the direction of Hildburg Frese. He has worked at the Schiller Theater in Berlin, the Burgtheater in Vienna, and the Kammerspiele in Munich. Kampwirth's film and television career started in the early 1990s with smaller roles in series such as Großstadtrevier, Wolffs Revier, and Tatort. He gained wider recognition through projects like Ein unmöglicher Mann and Der Mann von Nebenan. Since 2007, he has been part of the Hamburg Kammerspiele ensemble.
