Stephanie Caroline March Benton, born on July 23, 1974, is an American actress known for her role as Alexandra Cabot in the crime drama franchise Law & Order. She portrayed the character in the NBC series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit from 2000 to 2018, as well as in other media. March received a nomination for the Satellite Award for Best Television Series - Drama for her performance in the series. She has also appeared in various films including Head of State (2003), Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Falling for Grace (2006), The Treatment (2006), and Jesse Stone: Night Passage (2006). In 2019, March served as executive producer and starred in the comedy independent film The Social Ones. Additionally, she played Akira on the superhero series Naomi in 2022. March was born in Dallas, Texas, and attended McCulloch Middle School and Highland Park High School.
