Stephanie Zimbalist

Stephanie Zimbalist is an American actress born on October 8, 1956, in New York City. She is best known for her role as Laura Holt in the NBC detective series Remington Steele. Zimbalist's father is the renowned actor Efrem Zimbalist Jr., famous for his roles in 77 Sunset Strip and The FBI. She was educated at Marlborough School in Los Angeles and graduated from Foxcroft School in Middleburg, Virginia. Zimbalist attended the Juilliard School before embarking on her acting career. Her paternal grandfather was a symphony conductor and violinist, while her grandmother was a leading soprano. Zimbalist's aunt, Marcia Davenport, was a notable author and music journalist.
