Stephen Caffrey Biography
Stephen Caffrey, born on December 9, 1975, is an Irish former footballer who played as a central defender in the League of Ireland. He began his career at Bohemians in 1994, where he spent two years before moving to Glenavon. Caffrey returned to Bohemians in 1999 and formed a solid partnership in their midfield, helping the team win the League and Cup double in 2001. He also won another league title with Bohemians in 2002/2003. Caffrey later played for St Patrick's Athletic and had a third spell at Bohemians. After retiring from football, he joined League of Ireland First Division club Athlone Town.
