Stephen Jackson
Stephen Jesse Jackson (born April 5, 1978) is an American former professional basketball player who played 17 seasons in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He represented teams such as the New Jersey Nets, Atlanta Hawks, Indiana Pacers, Golden State Warriors, Milwaukee Bucks, Charlotte Bobcats, San Antonio Spurs, and Los Angeles Clippers. Jackson achieved his greatest success when he won an NBA championship with the Spurs in 2003. In addition to his basketball career, Jackson has become a prominent figure in civil rights activism, particularly during the Black Lives Matter movement. Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Port Arthur, Jackson had a challenging upbringing, working at his grandfather's restaurant and experiencing the tragic loss of his half-brother.
