Stephen Michael Kunken (born April 30, 1971) is an American actor known for his roles as Ari Spyros on Showtime's Billions and Commander Putnam on Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale. He has collaborated with renowned directors such as Martin Scorsese, Steven Spielberg, Woody Allen, Paul Greengrass, Ang Lee, Barry Levinson, and Ron Howard in his film career. Kunken graduated with top honors from The Juilliard School and has made a name for himself in the theater industry, appearing in numerous Broadway productions including Enron, for which he received a Tony Award nomination. He grew up in Upper Brookville, New York, and holds a B.A. degree from Tufts University.
