Stephen Lovatt

Stephen Lovatt is a New Zealand actor known for his work on stage, television, and feature films. Born on May 27, 1964, he trained as an actor at Toi Whakaari, the New Zealand Drama School, and graduated in 1986. Internationally, Lovatt is best known for his portrayal of Max Hoyland on the Australian soap Neighbours. In addition to his award-winning theatre work, he has appeared in several New Zealand TV shows including Shortland Street, Being Eve, Mataku, and Go Girls. Lovatt has also had roles in various fantasy shows filmed in New Zealand, such as Mysterious Island, Legend of the Seeker, Cleopatra 2525, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, Young Hercules, and Xena: Warrior Princess. He continues to be an acclaimed actor in the industry.
