Stephen McKinley Henderson

Stephen McKinley Henderson (born August 31, 1949) is an American actor known for his work in both theater and film. He trained at the Juilliard School for acting and was a resident member of the Repertory Theatre of St. Louis from 1976 to 1981. Henderson gained recognition as a character actor, particularly for his performances in the plays of August Wilson. He has been nominated for two Tony Awards, one Drama Desk Award, and two Screen Actors Guild Awards. Notable stage performances include King Hedley II, Fences, and A Raisin in the Sun. In film, he has appeared in movies such as Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, Lincoln, Fences, Manchester by the Sea, Lady Bird, and Dune.
