Steve Byrne Biography
Steve Byrne (born July 21, 1974) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He is best known for his multiple stand up comedy hour specials, creating, writing, and starring in the TV show Sullivan & Son, and as the writer/director of the feature film The Opening Act. Born in Freehold, New Jersey and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Byrne graduated from Kent State University with a degree in theatre. He was exposed to stand-up comedy while working at Caroline's comedy club in New York City and made his debut at Stand Up New York in 1997. In addition to his comedy career, Byrne directed the documentary Always Amazin', which won awards at the Sydney Lift Off Festival.
