Steve King
Steven Arnold King, born on May 28, 1949, is an American far-right politician and businessman. He served as a U.S. representative from Iowa from 2003 to 2021, representing Iowa's 5th congressional district until 2013 and the state's 4th congressional district from 2013 to 2021. King attended Northwest Missouri State University from 1967 to 1970 and later founded a construction company in 1975. Prior to his political career, he worked in business and environmental study. In 1996, he sought the Republican nomination for a seat in the Iowa Senate, winning both the primary and general election. King was elected to the U.S. House of Representatives in 2002 and was reelected four times before redistricting placed him in the 4th district.
