Steve Way is a British long-distance runner, known for his remarkable achievements in the sport. Born on July 6, 1974, Way began running seriously in 2007 to overcome health issues related to his lifestyle. At the age of 39, he set the British 100 km record by winning the 2014 British Championship with a time of 6:19:20. Way has also excelled in marathons, completing the London Marathon in under 2:20 four times and breaking the Commonwealth Games qualifying time of 2:17 in 2014. He represented England at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, finishing 10th overall and setting a new British veterans record with a personal best time of 2:15:16. Way's inspiring journey from a 100 kg, 20-a-day smoker to an elite athlete has earned him recognition in the media.
