Raised in Yorkshire, he has showcased his talent in various TV shows including Happy Valley, Trial and Retribution, Merlin, The Borgias, Vera, Rumble, Strictly Confidential, Badboys, and Ripper Street. Hartley has also portrayed recurring characters in The Bill, EastEnders, and Doctors.
