A Dog of Flanders

A Dog of Flanders is a 1999 film directed by Kevin Brodie, based on the 1872 novel of the same name by Ouida. The story follows young Nello and his grandfather who live in the outskirts of Antwerp, where they discover and nurse a beaten dog back to health. Nello, a talented artist like his late mother, finds joy in drawing, with his friend Aloise as his model and greatest supporter.
