Jon Voight Biography
Jonathan Vincent Voight, born on December 29, 1938, is an American actor renowned for his contributions to the film industry. Voight gained recognition for his role as Joe Buck, a struggling gigolo, in Midnight Cowboy (1969), which earned him a BAFTA Award and a Golden Globe Award. Throughout the 1970s, he portrayed diverse characters, including a businessman caught up in murder in Deliverance (1972), a paraplegic Vietnam veteran in Coming Home (1978), and a destitute ex-boxing champion in The Champ (1979), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Actor.
