About The Manchurian Candidate
The Manchurian Candidate is a 2004 American neo-noir psychological political thriller film directed by Jonathan Demme, based on Richard Condon's 1959 novel of the same name. It stars Denzel Washington as Major Ben Marco, a soldier haunted by nightmares after the Gulf War, who starts to question the truth behind his fellow squad-mate Raymond Shaw's political rise.
