Steven Wiig Biography
Steven Ray Wiig is an American film actor, director, producer, and musician. Born on December 30, 1972, in Ishpeming, Michigan, Wiig grew up in Negaunee and graduated from Negaunee High School in 1991. He attended Northern Michigan University before relocating to Minnesota in the mid-nineties. There, he performed with his band, The Martichora, and acted in student films. Wiig later worked with the heavy metal band Metallica, both on the road and in the recording studio. He has appeared in films such as Into the Wild, Metallica: Some Kind of Monster, Milk, and The Master. Additionally, Wiig is the drummer for the band Papa Wheelie and the primary songwriter in The Martichora, where he plays all instruments alongside Rich Doucette.
