Stoney Jackson, born Alwyn Jackson on February 27, 1960, is an American actor known for his appearances in various TV shows and films. He gained popularity in the 1970s and 1980s, being featured in teen magazines like Right On, Teen Beat, and Tiger Beat. Jackson portrayed the character of Jesse Mitchell, a high school basketball player, on the ensemble series The White Shadow and played Travis Fillmore on the sitcom 227. He also had guest appearances on shows such as Hardcastle and McCormick and Everybody Hates Chris. In addition, he appeared in the Disney film Angels in the Outfield as a baseball player and played the role of Black Jack Savage in the pilot episode of The 100 Lives of Black Jack Savage. Jackson was also seen as 'Kenyatta,' an illiterate lowlife, in the 1999 comedy film Trippin'. He gained further recognition as one of the prominent dancers in the music video for Michael Jackson's hit song 'Beat It' and appeared as the lead vocalist of the fictional group 'The Sorels' in the video for Dan Hartman's 'I Can Dream About You' from the film by Walter Hill.
